Peter Catalano, MD, FACS, FARS

  • Bio

    Dr. Peter Catalano graduated with a BS from Columbia University School of Engineering, followed by an MD degree from The Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine (MSH) in New York City. He completed Residency at MSH and became a full-time faculty member (1990- 1999) where he became an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, and Maxillofacial Surgery. He then became Chair of Otolaryngology at the Lahey Clinic (2000-2009), followed by Chair of Surgery and VP of Surgical Services at Caritas/Steward Health Care (2009- 2012).


    He is now a Professor of Otolaryngology at Tufts University having spent the last 12 years as the Chief of Otolaryngology at St Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.. Academically active with over 340 invited lectures, 25 book chapters, 95+ peer-reviewed publications, member of the editorial board of 7 medical journals. 


    President and Founder of the Foundation for Innovation, Education and Research in Otolaryngology (2011-present), and organizer of two annual medical conferences, Open Forum US and ENT Summit in SE Asia.




    Dr Catalano has worked with numerous medical device companies to help develop and commercialize numerous minimally invasive surgical tools and techniques over the past 33 years of clinical practice.



Winnie Keller,  Au.D.

Doctor of Audiology

    Winnie Keller, AuD is a Senior Field Audiologist at Earlens Corporation where she educates

    customers, supports clinicians as well as their patients and collaborates with the

    interdisciplinary staff to provide the successful training, fitting, and outcomes of the Earlens

    technology.  Dr. Keller earned her doctoral degree in audiology and has 37 years of experience

    in this field.  In her career, she has held clinical, administrative, and hearing related Medical

    Device Industry experience. At Earlens, she trains new providers of Earlens using a variety of

    techniques such as problem-based learning, guided instruction, and direct instruction over the

    last 6 years. She has experience training a multitude of providers on basic and advanced level concepts related to Earlens fittings and follow-ups.

Michael J Rude Au.D., CCC-A, CDP

    Dr. Michael Rude graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2016 with his Doctorate in Audiology. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Art degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of North Dakota. Dr. Rude is a board-certified audiologist and holds his Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. Dr. Rude and his husband live in Memphis, TN with their golden retriever, Sailor. In his free time, Dr. Rude enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing tennis, running, and traveling.

Sabeena Ramnanan-Harrix  Au.D., ABAC, CDP

    Dr. Sabeena Ramnanan-Harrix is an audiologist dedicated to identifying and treating individuals with hearing loss. She dual-majored in speech and hearing sciences and psychology at the Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in 2017. She earned her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the City University of New York Graduate Center in 2021.

     

    Dr. Harrix has worked in various clinical settings, gaining extensive experience working with hearing devices and assistive technology. Her passion for changing lives through hearing healthcare led her to become a provider for Earlens Hearing Center. Her current role as hybrid diagnostic telehealth audiologist allows her to inform patients of the importance of treatment from the moment hearing loss is identified. Dr. Harrix is proud to be working with Earlens Hearing Center to introduce this unique method of delivering hearing healthcare!


    After a three-year adventure in Houston, TX, Dr. Harrix has returned to her native Queens, New York, with her husband and their daughter. She enjoys traveling, good food, and quality time with family. 



Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell

    Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell is not only the Regional Audiology Manager for Earlens Hearing Centers she is also one of the world’s leading Earlens experts. She has over 10 years of experience in Clinical Audiology and Audiology Research with over 5 of those years at Earlens. She completed her Doctorate in Audiology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining Earlens Hearing Centers, she held positions at the National Center for Rehabilitative Research, House Research Institute, and one of the major manufacturers of traditional hearing aids.  Growing up with a mother with hearing loss exposed her to the challenges hearing loss can result in and the effects it can have on one’s quality of life. This made her realize at a young age that serving people with hearing loss was her calling.
